Nickname: The Desert Fox

Commander of the German forces in Northern Africa

Won the Iron Cross in World War I

Defeated at El Alamein in Eygpt after beating the British in Libya.

Defeated on July 15th, 1944 after Operation Overlord in France.

Used poison to kill himself before put on trial.

He also wrote a book about infantry attacks after World War I.

Leader of the 7th Panzaer Division
